Cyber Attack 23rd January 2025
We were unfortunately on the receiving end of a cyber attack, where we lost control of our email address and criminals sent out spam emails asking for money.  We also lost access to all our email contacts so we need to re-establish our address book. This particularly affects those of you on our
FILM CLUB LISTS. If you wish to be contacted about future film shows at the Ashenground Centre please send an email to [email protected].
We have increased security on our email to ensure this does not happen again.  We apologise for the inconvenience and to anyone who may have been affected by this.

History

The Ashenground Community Centre was built to replace a dilapidated Church Hall which was home to many of the groups now meeting in the centre. It is a Charitable Trust Limited by Guarantee and is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Centre Manager and a Management Committee made up of user group representatives and members of the Community.  The Trustee Board oversee the strategic direction of the Centre and, as the land is leased by the Ascension Church next door, the Board members are from the Church and local Community.

We opened our doors in October 2007 and have gone from strength to strength. Many groups have been with us since the beginning providing a variety of activities for all to enjoy. There’s children’s groups including Preschool, Singing, Dance and Language classes. Exercise groups including Folk Dancing and Table Tennis. Relaxing groups like Yoga and Pilates. Wellbeing groups for people with various conditions and for their Carers, and much more.
